Kiwi man quits job to hunt Pokemon

Pokemon Go is the latest craze taking over people's lives across the globe. The game is a phone app that uses augmented reality, along with your GPS locations, to find Pokemon creatures for you to 'catch'.

New Zealander, Tim Currie, 24, has resigned from his job to become a full-time Pokemon hunter.

He joins Redi Tlhabi and Technobyte's Aki Anastasiou on the line, to explain his big adventure.

Curry says he was on holiday visiting his parents when the game launched and, still in holiday mode, he made the decision to take time off and hunt Pokemon.

It's just crazy (in New Zealand). Everybody is outside walking around playing the game

Tim Currie, Pokemon hunter

I think the main demographic would be around 20 to 26...but I've seen 60 year old's walking around playing it.

He says he just wants to treat himself, and have a good time.

I caught one of my favourite Pokemon today actually, down at the beach. it was a rapidash, a beautiful white horse with a giant fiery mane
