Are the Lions hungry enough to beat the Crusaders?

Supersport commentator, Kaunda Ntunja, gives Stephen Grootes the lowdown on the upcoming SuperRugby quarterfinal game between the Lions and the Crusaders this weekend.

Will the Lions put their hands up on Saturday?

The Lions can do it, but with all the history and all the stats seriously leaning towards the Crusaders, and this Lions team has not beat the Crusaders, whether home or away, since 2007.

But says Ntunja, says rugby isn't won by stats, it's won on the field on the day.

The Crusaders have a large number of All Blacks in their team, but the Lions likewise have a number of national players.

This Lion's team has got a new found belief...and over and above that, for the first time since the mid 90s, we have a Lions side laden with Springboks. I think there's eight Springboks in the starting line-up of this Lions outfit for Saturday's game.

A positive development is the return of Lions skipper Warren Whitely, after passing a late fitness test.
