EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recognised Public Relations / Journalism / Communications qualification

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a public relations / corporate communications role

  • Relevant experience and exposure in managing PR projects and teams

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Unendorsed Driver’s License

KEY OUTPUTS

  • Practical, hands-on ability to operationalize the PR strategy in a practical manner, aimed at achieving a sustainable, competitive footprint in the industry
  • Forecast cutting edge PR opportunities, to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage
  • Interpret the PR objective aligned to each brand print and implement a measurable PR & communications strategy in support of the Brands
  • Regular interaction with internal stakeholders to:
  • Identify PR strategies and angles across all platforms including: trade, on-air programming, personalities, audio and video content, social media content, promotions, events and campaigns.

  • Assist with pitches to media where necessary to secure coverage

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to achieve a common purpose to maximise trade marketing and achieve positive advantages of promotional opportunities
  • Create and control accurate Press Releases related to publicity, product launches, promotions, events, campaigns
  • Manage the PR function at events and activations including: media and VIP guest management, positioning of spokespeople, managing running orders, ensuring appropriate material is available as well as manage the programming talent’s PR
  • Identify relevant media outlets for each story and angle
  • Profile the Brand and ensure supply of accurate information in trade publications
  • Re-enforce the brand and image of the Company when representing the business at all internal and external hosted functions
  • Positively and ethically exploit co-branding promotional opportunities
  • Take charge of PR and related communications in the event of disaster recovery
  • Maintain an up to date internal staff notice board and online communication system
  • Physical and conceptual implementation of CSI projects, initiatives, record-keeping
  • Manage and control the internal resource and requirements i.e. PR staff performance, PR departments’ budget, management and EXCO reports
  • Identify best practices to communicate internally and ensure this is executed in a relevant and timeous manner
