Nigeria's multi-million film industry introduces 'new Nollywood'

Nigeria's massive movie industry is ushering in a new online media platform that hopes to deliver an improved production quality for viewers.

While Nollywood is estimated to be raking $600-million annually and producing more than 2 000 films, the production quality is often below average.

702's John Robbie spoke to Southern African Editor of The Africa Report, Crystal Orderson, regarding the matter.

In a study conducted by the World Bank, it found that for every one movie sold, there's 9 that can be purchased through illegal distributors.
