ANC and DA butt heads over the fate of Nelson Mandela Bay, Tshwane

ANC treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize says the ruling party is confident that it will remain in power in Nelson Mandela Bay.

As the IEC reaches the final stretch of vote counting, Mkhize says the ANC is positive that it will retain control in hotly contested metros.

Meanwhile, DA leader Mmusi Maimane believes the ANC's odds aren't looking good in Nelson Mandela Bay.

He says that there's a strong chance that the DA will push ANC out of the metro, as it has shown great momentum and growth.

He explains that the municipal vote represents a referendum on President Jacob Zuma and the future of South Africa.
