Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) innovation manager, Ndumiso Cingo, says the African National Congress (ANC) is likely to get a higher percentage in the City of Jozi.
He says the ANC will get 45% and the DA will stand at 38% of the votes in Johannesburg.
Cingo says there will be no outright winner for Tshwane.
He says the current projections show that the ANC is likely to get about 42.6% and 41.8% for the DA. The EFF is likely to take the third position.
This basically means that coalitions can be formed between any of these three parties— Dr Ndumiso Cingo, CSIR innovation manager
The CSIR model uses voting patterns from the past.
CSIR predictions have been very accurate in the past, with one or two percent of differences to the final outcome.
