"The map is green. This means the ANC remains dominant" - Zizi Kodwa

ANC's National Spokesman Zizi Kodwa says the ANC is still enjoying the support of South Africans countrywide.

Kodwa says votes for the ANC reached the 10 million mark and the party does not take that for granted.

If you look at the map, the map is green. This means the ANC remains dominant

Zizi Kodwa, ANC's National Spokesman

The number of councils and the wards that are under the control of the ANC, the second party does not even come half to the number. But that statement we should not make it arrogantly

Zizi Kodwa, ANC's National Spokesman

During this next term of office, the party will look at the areas where they have performed badly and try to address the concerns of the people with humility, says Kodwa.

We need to ask these questions objectively and critically. What is it that we could've done better and what is it that we need to do more?

Zizi Kodwa, ANC's National Spokesman

Kodwa says the ANC has overwhelmingly won the elections no matter what analysts say.

He says when people vote for the ANC they don't vote for an individual but an organisation. Loyal voters of the ANC don't vote for another party because they are unsatisfied with the ANC, says Kodwa

Even if they have issues of unhappiness about the ANC, they don't cross over to vote for another party in numbers. Some of them may decide not to vote and stay away
