Solly Msimanga: DA to seal the deal on Tshwane coalition by Friday

Presumptive Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga says he hopes that coalition discussions with other parties to be concluded by the end of this week.

He explains that DA is racing to form coalition governments in several hung metros where it received less than 50% of the vote in municipal elections.

Msimanga say that he has distanced himself from direct involvement in negotiations, but he has given instructions to delegates who are bargaining on the DA's behalf.

He says that service delivery is a top priority when bargaining with potential coalition partners.

We need to start with the principles before the people and positions, and that's how we're basing the negotiations.

Solly Msimanga, Presumptive Tshwane Mayor

He unpacks some of the conditions he is unwilling to compromise on, to gain majority in Tshwane and other metros.
