SA has realised opposition parties have more to offer - Holomisa

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says the municipal election results are proof that South Africans have reached a point of disillusionment with the ANC.

He says that the electorate decided not to put its eggs in one basket, and instead has given smaller opposition parties an opportunity to gain power.

It's a wake up call to the arrogant ANC. They should read these results seriously.

Bantu Holomisa, UDM leader

According to Holomisa, the population is politically frustrated and feels opposition parties have better to offer in terms of good governance and service delivery.

As the ANC and the DA scramble to form coalition partners in hung metros, Holomisa says the UDM has not yet reached any agreement in Nelson Mandela Bay or any other municipality.

We are consulting with our structures on the ground and other political parties. We are not going to be used as voting cattle this time around.
