Integration in the public transport industry remains a challenge with technological innovation and efficiency lagging behind.
In response to the ongoing issue, the Gauteng Department of Transport has launched the "Modernisation of the Public Transport System in Gauteng" campaign.
702's John Robbie spoke to Gauteng's MEC of Transport, Dr Ismail Vadi, regarding what the the campaign entails for commuters.

He said plans are underway to launch an e-ticket system in the taxi industry with the pilot taking off in Tshwane this month.
