Selfe: DA and EFF share common goals

DA Federal Executive Chairperson James Selfe says that if South Africans take a closer look they will see that the official opposition party has a great deal in common with the left-wing EFF.

James Selfe, DA Federal Executive Chairperson

He explains that both parties are committed to improved service delivery, job creation and business empowerment.

He says that where they differ is how those objectives are implemented, and what is prioritised.

If you get down to the practicalities of local government, we are in fact closer than what might appear than if you just concentrate on the rhetoric.

James Selfe, DA Federal Executive Chairperson

According to Selfe, talks with the various other opposition parties are at an advanced stage.

He says that negotiations with the ANC are not an option because there needs to be an even balance in South African politics.

The ANC currently has too much power and controls too many centres of power.
