Recent murders and alleged police inaction has led to frustrated Westbury and Newclaire residents taking to the street on Thursday.
Schools will be closed and people prevented from going to work as the protest starts.
Pastor Peter Faver, who used to be a gang-leader and is not a anti-drug activist, said the protest was sparked by the recent murder of a couple and shortly after that a man was also killed.
The scourge of violence and drugs is not being dealt with by police, he says.
