"Twins are never identical" - Vivienne Lewin

According to psychotherapist Vivienne Lewin says that twins are not identical, even if they are from one egg, as two people can never be identical.

Lewin, who has written books on twins and offers a consultation service for twins and parents of twins, spoke to #NightTalk's Gugs Mhlungu and Sizwe Dhlomo about the unique bond twins share.

She says that twins establish a bond from a young age through deep sensate memories of each other.

Emphasising that individualism of twins, Lewin says that the close bond twins share can also translate to intense competition between them.

Listen to the conversation below:

There is lots and lots of competition between twins. Sometimes it is even more intense in twins than it is between other siblings because of the closeness

Gugs and Sizwe were fascinated by the stories of twins who called in to the show to share their experiences.
