'Changemakers Conference an opportunity to inspire active citizenship'

Scores of people are starting to descend at the 2016 LeadSA Changemakers conference at the Century City Conference Centre, in Cape Town.

The conference aims to inspire to citizens to contribute to social change in the country through a stellar forum of keynote speakers, and will also reveal the national Lead SA Hero and Youth Hero of the year.

Among the notable delegates are Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela, Sorbet CEO Ian Fuhr, Hip Hop activist Emile Jansen, suicide survivor Daryl Brown.

There will also be a range of entertainment including hip hop group Black Noise, boy band Four and the SA Army Band and Wynberg Boys Junior School choir.

Primedia Broadcasting CEO Terry Volkwyn says the gathering of changemakers is an opportunity to inspire active citizenship.

It's to get the youth up and moving, so to speak.
