Mzwandile Masina has lashed out at the media and opposition parties of painting the African National Congress (ANC) as an arrogant and corrupt-ridden political party.
The newly-elected mayor of Ekurhuleni leads the only ANC controlled metropolitan municipality in Gauteng after Nelson Mandela Bay, City of Joburg and City of Tshwane was won over the Democratic Alliance (DA) coalition with various opposition parties at the recent elections.
Atholl Trollip was elected mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Solly Msimanga as mayor of City of Tshwane and Herman Mashaba as mayor of City of Joburg.
Elaborating on his plans, he said he would be working closely with communities to meet their needs by electrifying the informal settlements and building about 100 000 houses and building their own power station
The media and the opposition's offense has been the narrative that eveybody in the ANC is corrupt and South Africans must not be fooled.

I've been in government for more than 19 years now. I've never been charged on anything corrupt.
