Online Designer

Primedia Broadcasting is looking for an Online Designer

PURPOSE: Demonstrate a passion for ideas and design, with a drive to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and innovation whilst ensuring that concepts and outputs conform and are aligned to Primedia Broadcasting’s brand, formula and values. Take full accountability for the role in the area of responsibility by executing all specified functions within the role and adhering to processes policies and procedures and always abiding by and upholding the company’s Formula and Values.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric - Relevant qualification in Graphic Design (Print essential) A Web Front End qualification will be advantageous

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in Art Direction/Design

SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong conceptualising skills
    • Strong design, typography and layout skills
    • Problem solving skills when faced with a “crises” - Good understanding of internet related technologies
    • Knowledgeable and proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, IN-Design (and basic HTML a plus)
    • Good understanding of Brand Strategy Apply quality control through the various stages of the production process including finished art for print

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Develop 360° campaigns from concept to final execution
    • Develop promotional campaigns, including online elements (i.e. Banners, websites etc., print and promotional items
    • Design identities for large campaigns and activations
    • Work on / build up existing projects i.e. look and feel
    • Ensure that the brand strategies and identities are reflected in all the visual aspects of the work
    • Brainstorm concepts with the copywriter responsible for the brief
    • Create presentations to “sell” the concept
    • Take ownership, responsibility and accountability of projects
    • Project manage the approved concept to completion
    • Create retouching notes as well as guiding the process
    • Monitor all final artwork Accurately archive all data and files
