Asteroid mining closer than you think

Nasa (National Aeronautics and Space administration) has already done it's first asteroid sample mission and intends dragging it back to earth by 2025.

That's according to Charles Kieck, head of energy and precious metals at Afriforesight who says asteroid mining could be a possibility within the next decade.

Asteroid's stray from orbit and move closer to earth and becomes fairly accessible to asteroid miners.

Metallic asteroid can produce 100 000 tonnes of platinum, that's an enormous amount of metal.
