ANCYL can't "sangomize" who the third force is - Nkabinde

ANC Youth League (ANCYL) Treasurer-General Reggie Nkabinde says that there is a third force working with disgruntled league members behind #OccupyLuthuliHouse, but is unable to pinpoint who this force really is.

I can't sangomize who the third force is. But we will find out

Reggie Nkabinde, ANC Youth League Treasurer-General

Speaking to #NightTalk's Gugs Mhlungu and Sizwe Dhlomo, Nkabinde says that former ANCYL Deputy President and disgruntled party members should have communicated their grievances through ANC structures instead of the public demonstration which took the form of #OccupyLuthuliHouse.

It is inappropriate for me to debate with Lamola. You are talking to the Treasurer-General of the Youth League here. Who is Lamola?

Reggie Nkabinde, ANC Youth League Treasurer-General

Nkabinde refused to engage with Lamola on-air, saying that the former youth league president was not behaving like a member of the ANC.

He said that disciplinary action would be taken against Lamola, who was one of the participants of the #OccupyLuthuliHouse demonstration.

Our intention was to submit a memorandum, which we did to the (ANC) Secretary-General. Our objective was achieved

Ronald Lamola, former ANC Youth League Deputy President

ANC members who participated in the #OccupyLuthuliHouse protest handed a memorandum to ANC Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe on Monday afternoon at Luthuli House.

Lamola says that the protest has served its protest, as disgruntled members of the ANC had submitted their grievances to the party's top structure.

During the protest, the #OccupyLuthuliHouse protestors were met by #DefendLuthuliHouse protestors, who were against the protest.

Nkabinde insisted that members who are unhappy in the ANC must raise their issues at branch level.
