Stellenbosch University has came out boldly saying the university will not be able to survive if government accepts a no fee increase or free education as students are demanding, according to EWN reporter Xolani Koyana.
The university has also proposed an 8% fee increase.
Stellenbosch today was bold enough to kind of say 8% increase will be suitable. That was their stance today.— Xolani Koyana, EWN reporter
Meanwhile, a group of students who are part of the Fees Must Fall Movement and Black Solidarity activists disrupted the fees commission hearing.
They questioned University of Cape Town Vice Chancellor Max Price about suspended students who were part of the Fees Must Fall protests.
