Blow-by-blow account of Parliament's heated exchanges

Minister of Mineral Resources, Mosebenzi Zwane, has insisted that Cabinet will probe the four banks' decision to cut ties with Gupta-owned businesses.

In a war of words between Zwane and Democratic Alliance (DA) members of Parliament on Wednesday, he said matters discussed by Cabinet were not divulged to the public.

In an interview with 702's John Robbie, EWN correspondent Gaye Davis, gave a blow-by-blow account of how these exchanges unfolded between the various politicial parties.

Davis also touched on recent developments regarding Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan, who clarified his position regarding state capture. Addressing the National Assembly, Gordhan declared himself as a politician who has not been captured by any sinister interests.

We learned that the minister believes that the separation of powers means that as a Cabinet minister he doesn't have to account to Parliament or MPs.
