South Africans have signaled alarm bells regarding the independence of the SA Reserve Bank (SARB) amid recent developments in the country's political landscape.

This comes after what seems to be an attack on the institution by African National Congress (ANC) bigwigs Jessie Duarte and Mosebenzi Zwane, who have made comments slating the policy-making and regulatory institution.
