Vytjie Mentor laments "unravelling democracy"

Vytjie Mentor has reiterated calls to review the electoral system to hold politicians accountable on what she labelled 'an unravelling democracy.'

Speaking at the Cape Town Press Club on Thursday, the former ANC (African National Congress) member of parliament lashed out at the ANC Women's League (ANCWL), the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) and national leadership, saying they support patronage and serve the agenda of President Jacob Zuma.

Refusing to reveal which political party she voted for at the recent elections, she confirmed that she's good friends with Helen Zille and cautioned against assuming that she voted for the Democratic Alliance.
