Putco passengers hijack bus after 2-hour delay

Putco bus passengers hijacked a bus out of frustration on Wednesday after being left stranded for two hours.

One of the passengers called 702's Xolani Gwala from the scene in Sunninghill to inform him of what they had done.

The passengers threatened to burn the bus but later decided to divert the route it was taking in order to arrive at their destinations in Soweto.

It was a unanimous decision. They refused to pay for the trip, the bus is now on the freeway Soweto bound.
