‘Stop these relentless attacks on JZ!’ (and other news from the Joburg Indaba)

The Presidency says it is concerned about the "relentless public attacks" on President Jacob Zuma by AngloGold Ashanti’s Sipho Pityana and Sibanye Gold’s Neal Froneman.

"While the Presidency respects the rights of citizens and leaders to freedom of speech, the business sector has many avenues to raise whatever concerns and issues it has with the government and/or its leadership," Presidency spokesperson Bongani Ngqulunga said on Thursday.

He went on saying that Zuma valued open dialogue but that it must take place "within the bounds of human decency and decorum", and that they should respect the country’s key institutions.

Bernard Swanepoel

We can’t regulate ourselves into growth.

Bernard Swanepoel

We need certainty. We need rules in place for a bit longer than our Ministers stay in place.

Parliament looks like a soapie.
