Workers must fight conservative and reactionary ideas - Cosatu

7 October 2016 12:39 PM

Cosatu's Sizwe Pamla, says they are marching to remind workers of the strength of united action and the power to fight back.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) has embarked on a one day strike and is marching throughout the country calling for decent work and economic growth.

Cosatu spokesperson, Sizwe Pamla, says they are using this International Day for Decent Work to make sure that they encourage and conscientise workers.

Pamla says as a working class organisation it is their responsibility to ensure that workers do not become open to conservative and reactionary ideas.

Our mission is to unite workers. To make sure that workers are united and acknowledge that they cannot be defeated when they are united.
