The winners have been announced and the discussions have been analysed (on Twitter anyway) here is what was most talked about during the show.

The big winner was Birdman with 4 wins from 9 nominations although it got no acting awards, those went to The Theory of Everything, Best Actor, Eddie Redmayne; Still Alice, Best Actress, Julianne Moore; Boyhood, Best Supporting Actress, Patricia Arquette and Whiplash, Best Supporting Actor, J.K. Simmons.

American Sniper made more money that the rest of the Best Movie nominees combined but only collected on Oscar for sound editing. The full list of results.
