Khwezi's family asks for privacy after untimely death in a Joburg hospital

The family of Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo (known as Khwezi) has asked for privacy after she died on Saturday in a Johannesburg hospital.

Speaking to 702's John Robbie, family spokesperson Bunie Matlanyane Sexwale said that she will be remembered as a "vibrant and loving person". She said that details surrounding her untimely death would not be revealed as requested by the family.

If we can just for the time-being respect the mother's wishes. She wished it known that her child was ill and that she passed on.

While little is known of Khwezi's life, she left the country after President Jacob Zuma was acquitted of her alleged rape due to lack of evidence in the 2006 trial.

She visited Tanzania and The Netherlands while pursuing her studies in Early Childhood Development before returning to home South Africa.

Listen to the interview below:

Fez is a vibrant soul, despite all challenges she remained happy and always supporting her mother.
