Wits public meeting gets green light

University of the Witwatersrand management is meeting with protesting students today after the Wits campus was rocked by violent protests over the past week.

Wits spokesperson, Shirona Patel says university management has agreed to open a dialogue on the issue of free decolonised education.

According to Patel the meeting will be live-streamed this afternoon.

Students still need to inform management about the time and venue for the meeting.

All parties have agreed to meet in good faith and chart a way forward that is beneficial for all.
