Internationally-renowned choreographer, dancer and director Gregory Maqoma has a long career dating back to the 1980s.
Using dance as an escape from the political turmoil of South Africa's apartheid regime, he has since won multiple awards locally and internationally.
Speaking to 702's Azania Mosaka, he said that dance forms an important part of entertainment but remains under-funded.

In his commitment to refining his craft, he has recently teamed up with Simphiwe Dana and Wouter Kellerman with his own production Joys of Sharing.
The collaborative production showcases at Gold Reef City's Lyric Theatre stage on 21st and 22nd of October 2016.
