Founder of the Banting Meal Revolution, Professor Tim Noakes, remains upbeat as hearings into his professional conduct continue.
He has been criticised for allegedly suggesting infants and toddlers should not consume a low carbohydrate, high fat (LCHF) diet, which he denies.
Noakes came under scrutiny after a breastfeeding mother laid a complaint with the HPCSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa) for advising her to adjust her toddler's diet.
702's John Robbie spoke to editor and publisher of FoodMed.net, Marika Sboros, regarding recent developments since the hearings begun.
Sboros explained that Noakes claims he been giving advice on diet for weaning babies and not about breastfeeding.
The hearings are expected to be concluded on 29th October 2016.
Listen to the interview:
If the beginning of cross-examination is anything to go by, there is absolutely no chance that the HPCSA is going to throw this case out.
