Morocco targets East African countries in bid to rejoin the AU
Morocco's King Mohammed VI is touring several East African countries in efforts to shore up support to rejoin the African Union.
The North African country has been the outsider for decades after departing from the continental body 32 years ago.
In July 2016, spokesperson for the AU confirmed that he had received a letter from Morocco and recalled Article 29 of the Constitutive Act of the African Union to address the matter.
