South Africans celebrate Mamelodi Sundowns glory

South Africans are celebrating as Mamelodi Sundowns won the 2016 CAF Champions League with 3-1 aggregate score against the Egyptians giants, Zamalek.

The Brazilians lost the game with 1-0 yesterday, but took the trophy because of their 3-0 first leg victory from last week in Pretoria.

Sundowns joins Orlando Pirates as the only two teams in the PSL to have won the CAF Champions League to date.

SABC Soccer Analyst Christoph Bongo says there is progress in how South Africa is playing on the continent.

What I really liked about Pitso, two hours before the game, he allowed his players to walk onto the pitch to understand what it means. And just before the game they were already for action, and it was just an amazing night all around the continent.
