President Zuma gives notice to suspend Jiba and Mrwebi

President Jacob Zuma has given notice of his intention to suspend senior National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) officials Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi.

Zuma has requested them to motivate why they cannot be suspended pending the outcome of the inquiry into their fitness to hold office.

Last month the High Court in Pretoria struck Jiba and Mrwebi off the roll of advocates.

The High Court decision followed several adverse judicial findings against them.

There is a strong track record of people who have been used by President Jacob Zuma and then thrown under the bus when there is no use for them.
