Initially starting in January 2016 as a Facebook group, it has now seen tremendous growth with over 1 000 people attending their events and boasts a membership of 15 000 individuals and businesses.

Brownsense is a platform set up to create a space where anyone who wants to buy black can do that.

Mzuzukile Soni, CEO and founder of Brownsense

We've got people who cover the hair and beauty space, bakers, craft beer, interior designers, web developers, lawyers, accountants, doctors... we've got a lady who grows vegetables and teaches people how to do that in the urban space.

Mzuzukile Soni, CEO and founder of Brownsense

The Brownsense Market takes place every first Sunday of the month at 100 Belvedere Road, Plot 328 in Glen Austin, Midrand. Visit www.brownsense.co.za or email mzuzukile@brownsensemarket.co.za for more information.
