Mashaba warns #FeesMustFall protesters against violence

City of Johannesburg mayor, Herman Mashaba, has warned #FeesMustFall student protesters against undermining their cause by allowing for criminal elements to take place.

Speaking to 702's John Robbie about the condition of the Joburg CBD, he said that he was determined to change negative perceptions regarding poor governance

We cannot afford a situation where people are under the impression is a lawless city. We need to bring back the rule of law.

Herman Mashaba, City of Joburg mayor

Blaming the former governing party's governance under ANC's former mayor, Parks Tau, he said that the Democratic Alliance would usher in a new era in efficient governance to meet the service delivery needs.
