Tannie Evita stirs the political pot, and talks cooking in the ANC kitchen

Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout is still as fresh, funny and foxy as ever after more than 30 years in the public eye.

Helen Zille took all the botox, I had to get some flown in from Australia!

Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout

Known for her political boldness, Tannie Evita announced last year that she had joined the ANC - as a Luthuli House cook!

She took a stroll down memory lane with CapeTalk presenter John Maytham, touching on her political history, estranged sister Bambi, her kids and role as a dietary chef for ANC cadres.

The former ambassador to Bapetikosweti says South Africans need to be informed about their voting decisions.

She's adamant that decision making is not in Parliament and said she was persuaded to go back into active politics by the power of the ruling party.

Parliament has now either become a DA parking garage or a pen for the Teletubbies of the EFF.

Bezuidenhout warns that citizens should not underestimate democracy and the "fragility of freedom", making reference to what have been dubbed 'Fallist' movements.
