Prof. Tim Noakes found not guilty - lawyer

The reports that Professor Tim Noakes have been found guilty of professional misconduct are 'completely untrue and harmful', says senior council representing Noakes in the HPCSA inquiry, Advocate Michael van der Nest.

Noakes was accused of unprofessional conduct after he provided an advice on what breast-fed babies should be given when being weaned.

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) has retracted the statement it released earlier that Noakes has been found guilty.

What happened was evidence was only completed on Wednesday, and still needed to argued. Judgment is due only on the 21st of April.
