Former ANC treasurer general Mathews Phosa is planning to present evidence to the General Council of the Bar to justify a probe into NPA boss Shaun Abrahams.
Phosa wants the Bar to investigate whether or not Abrahams is fit and proper to hold his position.
I think there's a lot of meat on the table now.

The bar has apparently responded to his initial application by asking for more detailed information.
According to Phosa, Abrahams should have announced his resignation after withdrawing fraud charges against Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and others.
My advice to Abrahams would have been that, at the end of his press conference today, he should have had moral fibre and stepped down.

Phosa says Abrahams lacks moral fibre and integrity and is failing to take responsibility by blaming his subordinates.
He advises that many people feel vindicated after dropping what he calls a stupid decision to prosecute.
