The ground is gradually shifting beneath Zuma's feet - analyst

Political Analyst, Ralph Mathekga says the happenings of Wednesday various organisations holding different meetings all striving for the same thing, shows that South Africans are really tired of the leadership of President Jacob Zuma.

He says members of the ANC have also woken up to the fact that if they want to remove Zuma they must look outside the ANC for help.

The question remains - will this collaboration of Wednesday the 2nd be sustainable to achieve the end goal or is it just a once off thing, asks Mathekga.

This shows that the ground is gradually shifting beneath his feet but that doesn't mean we are going to see Jacob Zuma leaving office tomorrow.

Ralph Mathekga, Political and Policy Analyst

The decline of his power is quite natural... He might shift strategy, he might be able to weigh in and see how strong his alliances are still holding.

In as far as he still remains within the ANC, he still remains the dominant force until a recourse can be undertaken against him.
