ANC stalwarts call for Zuma to do the right thing

A group of ANC stalwarts have called a press conference in Johannesburg to address some of the revelations made in a report into allegations of state capture which was released on Wednesday.

Among them is Reverend Frank Chikane, Trevor Manuel, Andrew Mlangeni and Sydney Mufamadi.

According to EWN reporter, Clement Manyathela, the veterans are calling for the ANC and the President to do the right thing.

They have spoken a lot about the plan they have for dealing with the issues within the organisation.

ANC stalwart Murphy Morobe said that as veterans they've seen it all, but the state capture revelation is the hardest thing they ever had to deal with.

The stalwarts requested a meeting with President Zuma and the top six in September. They asked to discuss issues that are facing the ANC, and wanted to formulate ways the veterans could play a part in fixing some of the problems. They never received any response.
