EWN launches new municipality performance check app

The Eye Witness News team have developed an app that will allow citizens an opportunity to access important information easily.

Sheldon Morias, EWN online editor says with this app you don't have to be a mathematician to be able to read reports from the Auditor General because the app they have developed will provide easy to read information.

The thought behind the platform is to make publicly available information easily accessible

The team has taken the Auditor General municipal audits from 2011 - 2015 and broken it down to enable the user to see who the big wasters are, as well as those who are deemed to be operating in a responsible manner.

According to Morais the app affords citizens of this country an opportunity to make up their own minds and make decisions on their municipalities as well as making them accountable for their actions.
