'Corruption nonsense has reached boiling point' Tokyo Sexwale

4 November 2016 4:59 PM

Tokyo Sexwale has appointed Advocate Geoff Budlender to investigate claims of links between Trillian Capital and Gupta family.

Non-executive chairman of Trillian Capital Tokyo Sexwale says corruption should not be tolerated in the country. He says he has appointed investigators to look into allegations of links between Trillian Capital and Gupta family.

Sexwale says it is alleged that some people at Trillian had prior knowledge that former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene's was going to be axed.

The Sunday Times reported that Trillian Capital employees were told in advance that Cogta Minister Des Van Rooyen was going to become the finance minister before his appointment last December.

Sexwale says 'we need to know why the President's name appears in state capture allegations.

This corruption nonsense in this country has reached a boiling point.

We fought for this country. We went to prison. We went underground. People are poor. There are protests. We can't have corruption to continue without standing up.

Sexwale says it is not correct to say government is being captured, but some people in government are looting the country's assets for their own benefits.

We are dealing about assets handover, not state being captured.
