Blade Nzimande says he knows who is trying to dislodge Pravin, and why

The South African Communist Party held its "Red October" rally in Sebokeng over the weekend. The party has had to do some serious introspection following a poor performance in the recent Local Government Elections and in the face of a changing corporate culture of the State.

"All these things are putting stresses inside the movement, and inside of the country as a whole."

Blade Nzimande, SACP Secretary General

At the party's Red October rally Secretary General Blade Nzimande called for the end of “Guptarisation" of the state... a point he reiterated while speaking to John Robbie on Monday.

"SACP was the first organisation to raise the issue of the toxic role of the Gupta family."

Blade Nzimande, SACP Secretary General

When pressed on whether the SACP will call for the resignation of President Zuma, Nzimande was clear on the SACP's position - for now the alliance partner will leave the ANC to decide what to do. He did, however, allude to the fact that the party knows who is behind the recent moves against Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.

"The people who are chasing Pravin are people who actually want to dislodge him from the Treasury so they can continue looting the State."
