Tumi Morake talks weight loss and her new show

Comedian and actress, Tumi Morake and Vanessa Frost, team up in their production premiering on 16th November at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg.

The show, titled Tease, offers a refreshing view on issues facing women beyond race politics to unpack various issues.

Morake said that women remain an anomaly in the industry as society wasn't always comfortable with women's voices being heard.

It's about power and I don't know if people easily relinquish their power to women... Patriarchy is not something we can run away from.

Tumi Morake, comedian

Frost said her interest in the performing arts was never limited to the roles she was offered but created the roles herself and performed at theaters across Johannesburg.

I get to play with different parts of my life and different aspects of myself.

Vanessa Frost, actress

The show runs from 16th November until 4th December 2016. Morake spoke about her weight loss saying it doesn't interfere with her "being funny".
