Presidency chastises Madonsela for Zuma interview leak

A statement released by the Presidency on Fridays calls on the former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela to 'step back' on and stop making public comments about the state capture report.

The Presidency says it is unhappy Madonsela released the audio interview she conducted with President Jacob Zuma.

Presidency Spokesperson, Dr Bongani Ngqulunga spoke to Stephen Grootes about their concerns.

Since the release of the report Advocate Madonsela has been active in commenting about it and the President in particular.

She should step back and allow the constitutional and other legal processes to continue unhindered.

Ngqulunga says they question why Madonsela only leaked the interview with the President and not other people she has interviewed.

Does this mean now members of the public will have access to all the interviews she has conducted?
