Heavy rainfall, flash flooding, damaging wind expected in Gauteng

SA Weather forecaster, Edwin Thema, says people must expect more severe thunder storms are expected in Gauteng for the next two days.

In these thunderstorms, you can expect heavy rain, flash flooding, hail and damaging wind.

Thema says most of the Sunday rains will affect Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Spokesperson of the Ekurhuleni Disaster Management, William Tlali, says the City is on high alert as the rain continues to rain in most parts of Gauteng.

For now everything is still okay. But we are monitoring the situation closely, making sure that those who will be need will be given assistance.

We also want to conscientise motorists on the high (risk) spots like N12 Benoni to be extra cautious.
