2016 is hottest year on record

The United Nations has confirmed that 2016 will probably be the hottest year to date. The temperature of the Earth this year is 1.2 Degrees Celsius above the figure during the industrial revolution.

Chief scientist for climate data analysis and research at the South African Weather Service, Dr. Andries Kruger, says this might cause irreversible changes to the world climate system.

It is very significant because it has been estimated that a 2 degrees warming could cause irreversible changes to the world general climate system.

For example it means you have to get used to lower or higher rain falls.
