About 53 houses in Ennerdale, south of Johannesburg, were damaged after a tornado swept through the area yesterday evening.
EWN reporter, Victor Magwedze, says the City of Johannesburg will be providing food, blankets and material to rebuild houses.
You have a lot of people who are outside trying to rebuild. Some insurance construction workers have come to assess the situation and try to rebuild.— Victor Magwedze, EWN reporter
One family says they have been told that their house will be ready to live in again in a couple of weeks time. So, they have to try and go stay at a friend's place where there isn't much space.— Victor Magwedze, EWN reporter
There were no deaths. Only one person was injured.
