Be careful! Scammers create fake Facebook profiles using prominent people

A caller on the Afternoon Drive show says he added Minister of Water and Sanitation Nomvula Mokonyane as a friend on Facebook to get more information for his research.

But he became suspicious when he received a message from this person asking him to provide 'all the information about himself'.

The pictures of the minister which are there are not original. They can be easily downloaded from the news sites or posters.

I think this person was going to try and get information from me as much as possible. And somewhere down the line a promise was going to made.
