50 000 parents have not confirmed child school placements

Gauteng Education says online applications have been successful, and they have placed 162 201 learners out of the 232 922 who applied.

The department is urging parents who have not confirmed placement offers for their children in schools to do so quickly.

Gauteng Education MEC spokesperson, Oupa Bodibe, says about 50 000 parents have not responded to offers, and 16 000 have not submitted relevant documents to the schools.
